Contact
WatchSat is an independent project. We read every message — feedback, questions, and corrections are all welcome.
The best way to reach us is by email: contact@watchsat.live.
What to get in touch about
- Feedback and feature ideas — what you’d like WatchSat to do next.
- Bug reports — tell us your browser and device, and the URL you were on, so we can reproduce it.
- Press and collaboration — embedding the tracker, using a screenshot, or working together.
Satellite data corrections
WatchSat does not originate orbital data — every position is computed from public Two-Line Element sets published by CelesTrak. If a satellite’s position, name, or classification looks wrong, the underlying element set is usually the cause, and corrections are best directed to CelesTrak so they propagate everywhere. If you think WatchSat is misreading correct data, though, please let us know.
Before you write
A few things answer themselves. If a satellite looks out of place, check the epoch shown on its tracking page first: a TLE is a fit to past tracking data, and a stale element set drifts. If the globe never appears, WatchSat needs WebGL, so that is the first thing to check in your browser. If pass predictions stay empty, the page needs a location from you — it is computed on your device and nothing is sent to us. And if the question is “how does this work” rather than “this is broken”, the data and methodology notes and the FAQ are the fastest route to an answer.
What happens to your message
Email goes to a mailbox, not a ticketing system. WatchSat has no user accounts, so there is no account to look up and nothing about you for us to verify. Your address is used to reply to you and for nothing else: there is no newsletter and no mailing list. The optional ISS pass alerts are the only feature that stores an email address at all, they are double opt-in, and every alert carries an unsubscribe link that deletes the record — the privacy policy spells out exactly what is kept and for how long.
